As a highly sensitive person, you realize a lot about life on a very deep level, which means that you sense how it’s possible to run out of money and other resources. And this can be a tough realization when you’re wanting to:

Follow your desire to express yourself authentically.

Experience your innate value through the work you do.

Not necessarily take the fastest road to money or the most direct route to financial security.

Ane also shares how it can be difficult to deal with such a concrete thing as numbers, but that it can be something you learn to interact with in an effective way. We also touch on the question: Is debt good or bad? Does having debt make you a good or bad person?

Another important theme that came through was getting in touch with your financial situation, as well as, your feelings, as the way to move forward — as in avoidance doesn’t work!

Again in the video, I refer to being HSP or a “Highly Sensitive Person”. If you want more information about what that means, then go here. And also go here, to visit Ane’s website.

We go into both the practicalities of life, like making money and feeling safe, as well as, the soulful or spiritual urges that drive us to seek meaning, purpose and inspiration.

We talk about why there is so much resistance to creating what you want and about what the experience of creation is like for people who are highly sensitive.

Ane offers a unique perspective on how to find your life purpose, and we talk about why the yearning for a place to belong may never go away (but there’s a beautiful and creative reason why, which could potentially be inspiring).

We also talk about the fear of not being able to take care of yourself and the very real need to feel safe.

This is an emotional hour we spend together, but an honest one. And in the end, it is my hope that by hearing the intimate details of my own trials and tribulations, that you will come away with a renewed permission to think and feel ALL of your thoughts and feelings — even if they’re not pretty or inspired. For it is my experience that when you connect with what you really think and feel, that is when you realize what your own true desire really is .

One other important note –

In the video, I mention several times about being “HSP”. HSP is an abbreviation for “Highly Sensitive Person”. You can find out more information about being highly sensitive here.

And if you haven’t seen the first video, watch it here first.

Here is the second one:

We talk about the logical conclusion I reached — that there must be something very wrong with me and how I naturally am. Or else why would this career stuff be so hard?

Ane goes on to explain a very different way of viewing the situation, a very different way of understanding and interpreting these kinds of experiences, which can totally turn them around.

We also go on to explore where that sense of wrongness can lead –

To questions like: Am I crazy? Am I insane? Is that why I can’t get myself to function well in traditional environments? Is it sane to choose another path, to choose an unclear, risky, creative, authentic path? What should I do to make myself be successful and fit into a traditional path?

And we end our conversation with how it is essential to:

Express what you are going through and experiencing.

Articulate all of the questions moving around inside of you, for that is how you move towards the answers you are seeking.

Receive support from people who are willing to listen and be okay to stay with you in the messiness and not rush quickly to try to find neat and tidy answers to these deep, challenging, unfolding questions.
